An amazing start to our film. Weardale railway have welcomed us with open arms and have even laid on a train to capture the period and realism of the film scene.
The film as we know, is set in the 1970's and centres around the lives of 'George' and his parents who, in real life, worked on the railway at South Shields railway station.
Of course the station as we knew it back then is no more, so in order to get the 'feel' of the 70's we headed up to Stanhope, home to the Weardale railway where we met with the team, that inlcuded, Claire & Wayne. Amazingly, Wayne worked at South Shields during the 70's and remembered the characters portrayed in the film only too well; talk about coincidence.
The scene is now in the can and guaranteed to bring a tear to your eye when you see and hear the scene for the 1st time.
Keep checking back for more insight into the making of this amazing film.
