After his change of circumstance 'Geordie's' health deteriorates to the point where he arrives at deaths door.
George meanwhile receives news of the iminent passing of his father and arrives home to find his mother lost in her grief and his father dying in his bed.

The scene was a difficult one to shoot due to the sensitive nature and the emotion that on the day was running like a river; not only for the cast, but also the crew too.
The scene continued. 'Geordie' hasn't long to live and as his son enters the room and stands over the bed, 'Geordie' reaches out to him and whispers something before taking his last breath and falling silent forever.

Big thank you to all the cast & crew & a special mention to Philippa Briggs for the amazing make-up that really brought the death of 'Geordie' to 'life'
