With more filming being completed, this time we find ourselves in the sweet shop where the gossip flows.
The scene follows on from those shot last week when our lad 'George' is sent to the shop on an errand for his mother.
The scene was shot in the wonderful Sweet Dreams sweet shop in South Moor, Stanley and made for a perfect backdrop. We have to say a massive thank you to Kevin and of course the wonderful Will, for hosting us and allowing to use this very special little shop for our scene.
It was perfect in every way and with a few additions here and there, we were able to give the shop a very special and wonderful 70's feel and look.
The scenes are now all falling into place and the end is in sight. Wenlock Road is set to be released early Spring 2025 and will be shown at the Customs House, South Shields for a premiere VIP night followed by one or two nights where the general public can come and see what we have created.
