South Shields has some stunning views across the estuary of the River Tyne so is it any wonder why the production team selected LAWE TOP as the setting for some of the scenes involving our young cast.

As we know the film is set in South Shields of the 1970's and it is difficult to find outdoor spaces where the illusion of being back in that era, is easy to achieve. Lawe Top was chosed for some of the scenes due to its dramatic vista and the easy in which the film crew to get the shots that did not include modern infrastructure or cars.
A massive thanks must go to the staff and management of THE HARBOUR LIGHTS pub for hosting us and feeding us all while we were on location up there. If your ever up that way, pop in, say hi to Michael and the team and dont forget to try out his specials; they're delicious.
